Signing Day: Ten 2017 impact freshmen
Signing Day is mere days away. And at least on the women’s side, that means a handful of college programs are about to get a whole heck of a lot better off the bat.
Signing Day for the women is still a massive deal, considering players simply don’t skip the college game for pro opportunities. When Mallory Pugh opted to stick with UCLA, at least for now, it sent up a signal that the college game is still the preeminent step between elite club soccer and the pros. Whether that changes in the near term, this is where we are.
Projecting early playing time and impact is always difficult, but a handful of players in the 2017 class should expect to make immediate claims on playing time once stepping on campus this summer. Here’s a look at the top 10 freshmen you can expect to see making waves in the upcoming season.
After they sign on Wednesday, of course.
