Standouts from the U14 BNT scrimmages
CARSON, Calif. – U14 Boys National Team head coach Hugo Perez always mentions that he is looking for players. Wherever they may play, whatever their background, Perez wants to put together the best possible team he can with the resources he has at his disposal.
For all intents and purposes, there are likely players in the U.S. who are better than some at the current U14 BNT camp in Southern California.
However, it is hard to imagine a better group than the one he has assembled for his first team with this age group. Perez’s best 14 players may not play together regularly but when they take the field under his guidance, it is an orchestrated piece of art.
Wednesday’s scrimmage against Arsenal was just another feather in the cap for the squad.
As any lopsided fixture, there is a long list of players who stood out from the game. Below are just a few that made a big impression plus a couple of names from the first game that showed some glimpses.
