Ten Best Two-Sport Girls in the Country

Many of the best soccer players in the country dabble in other sports. But only a select few are truly elite at both, whether soccer is their primary venture or not. Here is a ranking of the ten best two-sport youth soccer players in the country.

1. Maddyn Greenway, Minnesota (Soccer/Basketball) - Without a doubt, Greenway is the best two-sport star in the country. The high school senior made the ECNL U14 National Playoffs Best XI in 2021, then pivoted away from club soccer to focus on basketball. Despite dominating the hardwood enough to be the No. 8-ranked basketball player in the country, Greenway will also go down as a high school soccer legend, having set the Minnesota career goal-scoring record while leading Providence Day to two straight titles.

2. Bristol Kersh, Georgia (Soccer/Basketball) - Kersh stands out as the top soccer player on the list, a USYNT talent and No. 30 in the TopDrawerSoccer 2026 class. Off the field, the Notre Dame(w) soccer commit shines as a basketball star, guiding Cherokee Bluff to the Georgia 3A title last season, scoring a buzzer-beating semi-final winner, and earning MVP honors in the final.

3. Cece Powell, New York (Soccer/Lacrosse) - Were it not for lacrosse, Powell would likely command offers from top Division I soccer programs as an elite goal scorer. The No. 3-ranked lacrosse prospect in the 2026 class just capped her soccer career by leading Marcellus to a New York state championship as the primary attacker with 47 goals, outscoring Alexis Fragnito, a USYNT player ranked No. 42 in the 2027 class.

4. Nadia Ford, Indiana (Soccer/Track) - Ford is the fastest soccer player in the nation, period. While starring for Fort Wayne United, a USYS national finalist, the junior is also a track champion, winning Indiana state titles in the 100m and 200m last summer. Ford is fielding Power 4 track offers and holds a 60m time ranked ninth nationally.

5. Molly Vana, Massachusetts (Soccer/Lacrosse) - Fewer than one percent of high school athletes nationally play two sports in college. Even fewer, like Vana, do so at the Division I level. The senior led NEFC to the Girls Academy U19 final last summer and will compete in lacrosse and soccer at Harvard(w) this fall.

6. Ayrissa Robinson, Iowa (Soccer/Track) - You cannot teach speed, and Robinson, a TCU(w) 2027 commit, has plenty of it. The SLSG Navy forward is a nationally ranked prospect on the soccer field (No. 128) and an accomplished runner in track and field. The junior won an Iowa 4x200 state championship with Waukee Northwest in 2024, moved states, and then last summer won the Missouri title in the same event with Ladue Horton Watkins High School.

7. Nolyn Herron, Georgia (Soccer/Track) - Another standout dual athlete is Herron, a sophomore phenom in Georgia. Ranked in the top 200 of the 2028 TopDrawerSoccer class, she made history by winning the 400m Georgia 4A track title as a freshman and breaking North Oconee’s single-season soccer record with 36 goals, while earning ECNL First Team All-Conference for GSA.

8. Brooke French, Texas (Soccer/Cross Country) - French, a Texas 4A All-State soccer player and state medalist in cross country, defines two-sport excellence. Her most remarkable feat came last spring when the 2027 graduate won a 3200m race, drove six hours to help Randall High win a Texas soccer state championship—played most of the minutes—then returned to finish second in a 1600m event the next day.

9. Solveig Moritz, Colorado (Soccer/Ski) - Moritz, a Denver(w) commit, is another in the 2026 class who will be playing two sports at the Division I level. While the Pioneers will enjoy having the Colorado native on the soccer team, her best sport may actually be skiing, where she has competed at the national level.

10. Maddie Leach, Virginia (Soccer/Basketball) - Much like Greenway in Minnesota, Leach is a top 100-ranked basketball prospect who also dominates her state’s soccer scene. In 2025, the striker earned Virginia All-State and Region Player of the Year honors in both basketball and soccer.
