A second weekend of the adidas Blue Chip Showcase out in Ohio gave some of the top boys talent in the region a chance to strut their stuff. Here's a look at some of the players who managed to catch the eye of TopDrawerSoccer.com:
F Connor Stevenson, St. Croix Academy U16 Red Bulls
Stevenson possesses enough technical ability on the ball to easily combine with midfielders. He displayed the ability to read the game and think a few passes ahead, always putting himself in a good position to make a run or receive the ball at his feet.
MF Christopher Mayrose, Revolution Empire U17
Mayrose uses his size in the midfield to challenge for every ball in the air. He is an unselfish player who always knows where he is going with the next pass and isn’t afraid to shoot from distance. He displayed consistent power and accuracy on his shot over the course of the weekend.
