Even though the final game of the 2020 USL Championship season didn’t take place – the championship was canceled due to a COVID-19 outbreak with one of the teams in the final – the games that were held allowed young players from around the country to see minutes in a professional capacity.
Looking back on the 2020 USL season, players from a variety of different platforms were able to get a shot. From the amateur, college-bound player on an MLS Academy, to the growing contingent of youngsters signed on their respective independent teams, there was a long list of young domestic players that earned a chance.
While 10 of them are listed below, there are several more that are worth tracking and remembering in the coming years.
