Tyler Adams sends RB Leipzig to CL semis

U.S. Men’s National Team player Tyler Adams scored the game-winner in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal on Thursday in RB Leipzig’s 2-1 win over Atletico Madrid. Adams became the first U.S. international to scored a goal in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal (or later), according to TruMedia’s Paul Carr.
Adams entered the game in the second half with the teams level at 1-1. He provided the difference on the day with his goal in the 88th minute.
RB Leipzig advanced to the semifinal of the UEFA Champions League for the first time in club history. The semifinal round will be held August 18/19.
