The U.S. U17 Women’s National Team kicks off camp in Florida on Thursday. Head coach Natalia Astrain called in 26 players for the week-long camp at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
This is the third camp for the coach for the 2005 age group with 18 players involved in all three events. The window for the coaching staff to look at new players is quickly closing with the 2022 Concacaf U17 Woman’s Championship scheduled for the end of April in Dominican Republic.
With limited opportunities left for new players, each camp adds even more significance. The current camp suggests that the coaching staff might be thinking of trying a new formation with this group. We dive deep into the strengths and weaknesses of this group with the U17 WNT depth chart.
