U17 WNT falls short of World Cup in Jamaica

Soccer can be a cruel game sometimes.

The U.S. U17 Women's National Team has never lost a game during the CONCACAF World Cup qualifying tournament - ever - yet for the second time in a four-year span, will miss out on an Under 17 Women's World Cup after failing to advance past Mexico on Thursday.

After a dominant run of three group games, the United States gave up an early goal, and couldn't muster more than one in return, El Tri bested the U.S. in penalties.
