U.S. Under-16 Boys’ National Team head coach Paul Simpson has named a 24-player roster for the team’s domestic training camp to be held from March 8-15 in West Palm Beach, Fla.
The camp is part of the Federation’s continued focus on the U.S. Way philosophy, which emphasizes increased programming for Youth National Teams to create more opportunities for young players to advance through the pathway to the senior National Team with the goal of representing their country at a world championship.
The U-16 BNT will use the March camp to continue its preparation for the 2027 Concacaf U-17 Qualifiers, which serves as qualification for the 2027 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar.
Twenty-three of the 24 players come from Major League Soccer setups, representing 12 different clubs. Philadelphia Union leads the way with four players selected, followed by three each from Atlanta United and D.C. United. Two players apiece come from Chicago Fire, San Jose Earthquakes, Seattle Sounders and St. Louis City, while Austin FC, Charlotte FC, Houston Dynamo, New England Revolution and Real Salt Lake each will send one player to camp.
Liga MX side CF Monterrey also sends one player to round out the roster.
All players were born on or after Jan. 1, 2010.
