Group A Preview

To lead off Group A, Legends FC 00 Academy (CA-S) won the National League White Division with a record of five wins and two ties. The National Championships are no stranger to this squad, as they won the 2015 National title. HBC Impact 00 (NY-E) punched its ticket to the National Championships by going 5-0-0 during the Region I Championships. The National League Blue Division champions, Midwest United FC 00 Royal (MI), are looking to be named back-to-back National Champions as they won the 2016 title. Rounding out Group A is 00 TFCA Alliance (NC). The 00 TFCA side won Region III Championships and did not give up a single goal the entire tournament.

Group B Preview

CUP 00 Gold (OH-S) won the National League Black Division with six wins and one tie. CUP 00 Gold had a fantastic National League season, and the squad will look to continue its success in Frisco. Scottsdale Blackhawks Taylor (AZ) went a perfect 7-0-0 to win the National League Red Division and throughout its season, the Blackhawks were scored on just three times. The Region IV Champion, Celtic FC (UT), had a great run in Seattle, Wash., as the team outscored its opponents 18-to-1 in the first four games of play. Finally, Sporting Omaha FC Elite 2000 (NE), the Region II Representative will fight for a National title as the squad is coming off a successful Region II Championships with a record of 4-1.

National League White: Legends FC 00 Academy (CA-S)

How they got to Nationals
Legends FC 00 Academy (CA-S) won the National League White Division with a record of five wins and two ties. Throughout the season, Legends FC outscored its opponents 17-to-6. To secure its spot in the National Championships, Legends FC’s final result was a 2-2 tie against second-place Greater Seattle Surf 00 (WA). The goal scorers for Legends FC were Elisabeth Chua and Allison Adams, as they helped the Cal South side hold on for the division title. Legends FC won the US Youth Soccer National Championship in 2015 and will aim to get back on top this year in Frisco, Texas.

Region I: HBC Impact 00 (NY-E)

How they got to Nationals
HBC Impact 00 (NY-E) went an impressive 5-0-0 to win the Region I Championship and punch its ticket to the National Championships. In group play, HBC outscored its opponents 9-to-1 but had much closer and challenging matches in the semifinal and final round of play. HBC’s concluding win was over Princeton SA (NJ), ending at 2-1. Talani Barnett and Nicole Scudero each found the back of the net for HBC in the Region I final — giving the Eastern New York side its third straight Regional title.

National League Blue: Midwest United FC 00 Royal (MI)

How they got to Nationals
Given the tough competition it faced throughout National League, defending National Champion Midwest United FC 00 Royal (MI) should be prepared to defend its title after going 6-1-0 in the National League Blue Division. Midwest United started out its National League run with four wins. In those four matches, Midwest United gave up only one goal. To become one of the 96 teams being represented at the 2017 National Championships, Midwest United got its final win over FC Kansas City Academy Blues Elite 2000 (MO) in impressive fashion. The Michigan side also claimed its second straight Region II Championship and should have plenty of momentum entering Nationals.

How they got to Nationals
The Region III Champion, 00 TFCA Alliance (NC), went a perfect 6-0-0 during the Region III Championships. In those six games played, 00 TFCA did not give up a single goal and found the back of the net 13 times. The final win for 00 TFCA was against Sunrise Sting 2000 (FL), as the North Carolina side took a 2-0 victory. TFCA will look to continue its strong defensive play as it looks to shut down its opponents at the 2017 National Championships.

How they got to Nationals
CUP 00 Gold (OH-S) won the National League Black Division with a record of six wins and one tie. In the first four games played, the CUP 00 Gold side outscored its opponents 12-to-1. The Ohio South side entered its final game of the season needing a tie against Princeton SA (NJ) to secure first place. CUP left no doubt, as it finished with a 3-0 win thanks go goals from Kate Larbes, Jordyn Rhodes and Nicoletta Anuci — helping CUP punch its ticket to Nationals.

How they got to Nationals
Going a perfect 7-0-0 throughout National League is hard to come by given the competition faced, but Scottsdale Blackhawks Taylor (AZ) did just that. In the seven games played, the Scottsdale Blackhawks were only scored on three times. Not only were the Scottsdale Blackhawks the National League Red Division Champions, but they were Arizona State Champions, as well. With that impressive of a resume, the Scottsdale Blackhawks side will look to make a run at the 2017 National Championships.

How they got to Nationals
Celtic FC (UT) secured its spot in the 2017 National Championships by winning Region IV Championships. In group play, Celtic FC went 3-0-0 and outscored its opponents 11-to-0. The quarterfinal match wasn’t much different for Celtic FC, as they soared to a 7-1 victory. In the semifinal match, Celtic FC edged Rio Rapids 00 Girls (NM), 3-1. The final match for Celtic FC was a nail-biting win over Legends FC 00 South (CA-S), ending in a 4-3 Celtic victory.

Sporting Omaha FC Elite 2000 (NE) had a great run at the Region II Championships, but ultimately fell to Midwest United FC 00 Royal. Since Midwest United had already secured its spot in the National Championships through National League, Sporting Omaha automatically advanced when making it to the final match of Region II Championships. In group play, Sporting Omaha went 3-0-0 and outscored its opponents 14-to-3. Sporting Omaha will look to continue its success at the 2017 National Championships.
