With each passing year, the ability for senior draftees to make a significant impact in their rookie MLS diminishes.

Of course, with a handful of MLS franchises also running teams in the USL, it offers some of these players a longer leash to reach a point to make an MLS contribution.

This year’s draft class faces the challenge, but there are still players out there that could come in, make an MLS roster, and eventually take care of business on the field.
