DENVER, Colo.:  The nationally ranked #19 Rangers played together to put up another big win today over the Roadrunners of Metro State.  Four Rangers put in a goal for a combined team effort.

In the 23rd minute of play, freshman Jason Boyle passed from the left wing, through the 18 yard box to senior Taylor Diem who was unguarded.  Diem sent his first goal of the season through the right side of the goal to bring Regis up 1-0.

The match remained aggressive, but scoreless until the very end of the first half when junior Ben Fredrickson got a chance at the goal himself.  In the last minute of the half, junior Justin Ortinau sent a long pass down to Fredrickson who sent it past the goalie, bringing the Rangers up 2-0 going into the second half.

The match was far from over however, as the Rangers would put in two more goals before it was up.  Senior Alex Tarnoczi sent a cross into to sophomore Adam Tormoehlen, who put a header into in the 54th minute.

Sophomore Logan Miller would earn the last Regis goal on a penalty kick at the 68th minute, bringing the Rangers to 4-0 on the day.

The Ranger defense kept the Roadrunners to one shot on goal on the day.  Freshman Christian Nicolosi spent the match in goal for Regis.

The Rangers will play next at home Sunday, September 16 at 3:30 PM against the ThunderWolves of CSU-Pueblo.
