Rindge, NH – Earlier this afternoon, the men's soccer team took on the Hawks of St. Anselm College in a Northeast-10 Conference contest. It only took one goal to determine the winner and it came from the Panther's Alejandro Penzini in the 68th minute of the game. His goal brings the Brown and Gold to 5-4, 4-3 NE-10 while St. Anselm slips to 2-7, 1-6 NE-10.

Of the Panther's eight first half shots, five of them were put on net. However, each of the ones on target were met by St. Anselm keeper, Mark Kotsopoulos to hold the game scoreless. On the flip side, the Hawk's five shots were thwarted by a solid back Adelphi defense with one of them needing saving which was provided by goal keeper, Ahmad Salamah.

The silence was finally broken in the middle of the second act. A textbook cross from Juan Aguiar sent into Penzini proved to be the knockout punch. Penzini, from in front of the net, notched the game winner and his fifth goal of the season. A late attempt by Brian Ayers in the 86th minute was squashed as Salamah came up with the save.

Four Panthers registered at least two shots while Salamah was awarded his second win of the season after keeping St. Anselm scoreless and making four saves in the process.

Coach's Thoughts on the Game
"Huge credit to St. Anselm's team and coach," said Head Coach Carlo Acquista after the game. "They played a great soccer game. Going on the road and finding a way to win is always difficult. Great job to all of my guys who stuck with it and found a way to win."
