Berkely joins FC Girondins de Bordeaux
Florida State(w) center back and senior star Malia Berkely has signed a contract with French club FC Girondins de Bordeaux.
Earlier this week Berkely had announced her intention to turn pro and not return to school for a spring season at the ACC power.

Berkely signs an 18-month contract with Bordeaux after wrapping up an excellent career with Florida State. She helped lead the Seminoles to the ACC tournament title in the shortened 2020 season, earning ACC Defensive Player of the Year. That marked the second year in a row she earned that honor.
In total, the Ohio native made 84 appearances for FSU, helping the team win the 2018 national championship.
