College Teams of the Week 10/26

Virginia’s Will Bates and Portland’s Danielle Foxhoven earned the TopDrawerSoccer.com Player of the Week honors for Men’s and Women’s College Soccer this week due to their standout performances.
Foxhoven scored 6 goals and added 2 assists in a pair of big wins for the #2 Pilots. She now has 21 goals on the season for Garrett Smith’s squad.
Bates scored twice and added an assist as the #10 Cavaliers won a pair of matches on the week.
Portland's Danielle FoxhovenMeanwhile in the TopDrawerSoccer.com Tournament 64 and 48 National Ranking, the Akron Zips men and the Stanford Cardinal women retain their #1 ranking, remaining unbeaten and untied on the 2009 season.
Paul Ratcliffe’s Stanford women are now 17-0-0 after a pair of victories in Pac 10 play vs. Washington and Washington State. The ranking is a running attempt to project the postseason NCAA Tournament field.

On the men’s side, Caleb Porter’s Akron program remains undefeated at 15-0-0 after beating Michigan and Buffalo. UCLA and Maryland drop a few spots after weekend losses, with Monmouth dropping out of the Top 10 after its first loss of the season. Among those moving up in a big way are Virginia, Louisville, NC State and Notre Dame. Dayton, San Diego State, DePaul, Evansville and Campbell enter the ranking this week.

Shay Mannino, Central Michigan - Goalkeeper recorded two shutous as the Chippewas clinched the MAC regular season title. Mannino’s personal shutout streak is now 1,123 minutes, third-longest in NCAA history.
Lauren Cheney, UCLA - National team forward scored 2 goals and added 3 assists in a pair of Bruin wins.
Sydney Leroux, UCLA - Cheney’s striker partner added 3 goals of her own for the weekend.
Ashley Berra, Memphis - Scored twice as the Tigers picked up a pair of Conference USA wins.
Ella Stephan, Florida State - Defender keyed the Seminoles’ back line effort in a pair of wins, plus added an overtime winner against North Carolina.
Thea Sutton, Dartmouth - Defender scored a goal and keyed a pair of clean sheets for the Big Green defense.
Kelley O’Hara, Stanford - Scored 2 goals and added an assist as the Cardinal remained undefeated.
