HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – The fourth-seeded Centenary College women's soccer team posted a 1-0 victory over fifth-seeded Marywood in the Colonial States Athletic Conference Tournament quarterfinal on Monday night at Morrison Field.

With the victory, Centenary moved into the semifinals where it will face regular-season champion Rosemont on Wednesday (time still to be determined). The tournament's other quarterfinal match will feature No. 2 Cabrini hosting No. 3 Neumann, which knocked off Immaculata 2-0 on Monday.

Sophomore Lorraine Dedrick (Trumbull, Conn./Trumbull) tallied the game-winning goal during the 41st minute for the Cyclones. Classmate Becky Camp (Belford, N.J./Middletown North) ripped a shot that was stopped initially by Pacers' goalkeeper Victoria Pezdirtz, but Dedrick came sliding in to clean up the rebound, tapping the ball into the net.

20 minutes prior to Dedrick's score, Marywood nearly took the lead, but a diving stop by Cyclone junior net minder Megan Williams (Glenside, Pa./Abington) held the Pacers off the board.

Williams posted her fifth shutout of the fall, including her second against MU, as she recorded four saves. Two of those stops came during the final 15 minutes, helping Centenary preserve the victory.

Pezdirtz tallied five saves for the Pacers, who close the season with a record of 6-8-4.
