PHILADELPHIA - The University of Dayton women's soccer team suffered its first Atlantic 10 loss of the season with a 2-0 setback to defending A-10 champion La Salle Friday night on the turf at McCarthy Stadium.
The Explorers (12-4-2, 4-2-1 A-10) scored two first half goals and limited the Flyers' chances. Dayton (11-5-1, 6-1-0 A-10 ) tied its season low with just three shots on goal. The Flyers, however, did outshoot La Salle 12-10.
The Flyers also had two yellow cards.
Dayton stays in Philadelphia for its final regular season match, an A-10 conference game vs. Saint Joseph's this Sunday, Nov. 3 at 1 p.m.
