DAYTON TOPS CAL POLY 3-1 IN HOME OPENER

DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Dayton women's soccer team improved to 2-0-0 after dealing Cal Poly (1-1-0) a 3-1 loss Sunday afternoon at Baujan Field in the Flyers' home opener.
Junior Colleen Williams scored the first two goals of the match and had an assist on the third, bringing her point total to 10 (4 goals, 2 assists) for the young season. Sophomore Juliana Libertin scored a goal and also had an assist in the Flyer victory. Freshman Kelsey Smigel had the other assist for UD.
Dayton plays in the Northwestern Tournament on Aug.26 and 28 against Loyola (Ill.) and Northwestern. The Flyers' next home game is Friday, Sept. 2 vs. Wisconsin at 7:30 p.m. at Baujan Field.
