This week’s start to the Men’s Division I NCAA season is another chance for pro hopefuls to make a case for the next level.
While the pathway from academy to college and beyond is far from straightforward, it continues to identify, develop and send players on to the next level. Colton Swan, who played at Indiana last fall, is now poised to move from USL Championship side Charleston Battery to Hibernian FC in Scotland.
So who is next? Below is a list of pro prospects to watch this season. It takes into account players who haven’t been drafted and who have not come through an MLS Academy.
