Eight Left in Men’s NCAA Tournament Field

Maryland has returned to the #1 spot in the TopDrawerSoccer.com men's college soccer Tournament 48 National Ranking this week, following the Terps’ 5-1 win over Coastal Carolina in the third round of the NCAA Tournament, and previous #1 Akron’s loss on penalties to Creighton.

The ranking is an effort to project the postseason NCAA Tournament field of 48 each week, including the automatic qualifiers from every DI conference. Now that the tournament has begun, the ranking reflects the actual results of the tournament.

M: Connor Brandt, San DiegoScored twice as USD came from behind to defeat Tulsa, 2-1.

M: Nikita Kotlov, IndianaScored a goal and added an assist in IU’s overtime win against Notre Dame.

M: Cameron Brown, North CarolinaScored an overtime winner as the Tar Heels defeated Fairleigh-Dickinson(m), 1-0.

F:  Brandon Allen, Georgetown – Scored a late equalizer to keep Georgetown’s season alive, setting up a penalty shootout win for the Hoyas over Syracuse.

F: Marlon Hairston, Louisville(m) – Scored and helped Louisville beat Northwestern, 2-1.

F: Eriq Zavaleta, IndianaScored the overtime winner for IU against Notre Dame.

F: Nicholas Zuniga, ConnecticutScored an overtime winner against New Mexico.

F: Sunny Jane, MarylandScored twice and added an assist as the Terrapins defeated Coastal Carolina, 5-1.
