FC Dallas has signed defender Aaron Guillen as a Homegrown Player, the club announced today.
Guillen, 22, recently completed his senior season at Florida Gulf Coast University. During his four years with the Eagles, the El Paso native started 67 matches, scored one goal and had four assists. He was named the 2015 Atlantic Sun Conference Defender of the Year following his senior season. The defender was also named to the Atlantic Sun First Team on three occasions.
Guillen first joined the FC Dallas Academy in 2011, from the club’s academy affiliate in El Paso, Texas. The defender quickly earned a starting spot on the U-18 Academy team that went on to win the 2012 U-18 U.S. Soccer Development Academy National Championship.
Along with Alejandro Zendejas, FC Dallas has now signed two players from its El Paso affiliate.
