Five Things: The land of unbeatens
The men’s DI college season is officially in its league phase for some conferences. That means huge matchups and big individual feats of magic.
There’s a ton on the plate this week for another scintillating episode of our Men’s Five Things. From a massive game out west to a huge recruit weaving webs out of goals in the east, we’ve got a bit of everything for you.
Perfect Watch taking hits
As we are often wont to do in this space, we’ll often take a glimpse around the country and take stock in a few teams making waves. One of the funnest prisms through which to glimpse those waves? Perfect records. Nobody’s ever compiled a perfect record in DI history, so it’s always a good time to project those many years of futility onto these clubs doing their best to break through. The most impressive so far is probably No. 3 Syracuse which is a sterling 7-0-0 and opened ACC action with a pair of wins to prove it isn’t just all-out-of-conference patsies. There are, surprisingly enough, only two other perfect records left in DI: Charlotte and Loyola-Chicago. Good luck folks. Stay perfect, my friends.
