BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh junior forward Mark Forrest and sophomore goalkeeper Will Smith both received recognition as the Patriot League announced its weekly men's soccer award winners on Monday. Forrest was named the Offensive Player of the Week, while Smith garnered the honor of Goalkeeper of the Week as the Mountain Hawks capped off another 2-0 week to extend their win streak to four-straight games.
 
Forrest led Lehigh with four points on the week with a pair of primary assists, including the assist on the game-winner, in a 3-1 win over Seton Hall last Tuesday. He then tallied the game-winning goal in Saturday's 1-0 win over Army in Lehigh's Patriot League opener.
 
Smith backed up a defensive unit that compiled a 0.50 goals-against average on the week and posted a clean sheet against an Army team that ranks second in the league with 1.37 goals per game. Smith accumulated a .909 save percentage on the week in 180:00 minutes of play while racking up 10 saves, including a career-high tying eight saves against Army.
 
Senior captain John Marc Charpentier earned an Honorable Mention as he helped hold the league's shot leader, Rex Epps, to just three total shots and one on goal on Saturday night.
 
Forrest currently leads the Patriot League with 16 points on a league-leading six goals to along with four assists. The junior's 2.29 points per game also leads the league and is the third-best average in the nation this season. He also owns the third-best goals per game average in the country and is tied for the fourth-most goals on the year.
 
This is the second-straight and third overall Goalkeeper of the Week honor for Smith who owns a 0.50 goals-against average and a .889 save percentage with two clean sheets over the last two weeks. This is the first Offensive Player of the Week award for Forrest who led the league in goals in 2015 and led the league in points per game last season.
 
The Mountain Hawks have already compiled five weekly honors this season after earning three last year.
