Green Bay's Banks receives TopDrawerSoccer honor

November 19, 2009 – Wisconsin-Green Bay junior midfielder JC Banks (Milwaukee, Wis.) was named to the TopDrawerSoccer’s Men’s College Team of the Season. Banks was selected to the national second team along with ten other players throughout the country.

“It’s great for JC to get national recognition for all his hard work not only throughout the season but in the off-season as well,” said head coach Tom Poitras.

Banks is ranked sixth in the country in goals per game (0.68) and third in points per game (1.84). In 19 games, Banks led the Phoenix and Horizon League scoring 13 goals and 35 points on his way to being named the league Offensive Player and Player of the Year.

For the first time in school history the Green Bay men’s soccer team won the Horizon League tournament where Banks was named to the All-Tournament team.
