Gianna Guyot named SWAC Goalkeeper of the Week
Guyot faced 22 shots combined over the weekend
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Alabama State University goalkeeper Gianna Guyot was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Goalkeeper of the Week, announced by the conference office late Monday afternoon.
Guyot played all 180 minutes in a 2-0 victory against Southern on Friday, and although she gave up one goal on Sunday, she faced 22 shots and recorded seven saves over the course of the weekend to beat Jackson State 2-1.
Alabama State (2-6, 2-0 SWAC) continues conference action this weekend, starting with Mississippi Valley on Friday at 7 pm.
