Hancock Named Sysco Student-Athlete of the Week
Junior Callie Hancockbattled through sickness to have the match of her career against CSU Bakersfield on Sunday, Oct. 2. The forward netted her first collegiate hat trick and lifted the Bulldogs to a 3-1 win over Bakersfield. It was a performance that earned her Sysco Student-Athlete of the Week for Sept. 26 - Oct. 2.
This is her second time receiving the award. She was the first Bulldog to earn the weekly honor (Aug. 26) this year.
Shooting .833 on goal during the weekend, she now leads the team with seven goals and 17 points.
Hancock is tied for first in the Western Athletic Conference in points and sits second in shots (44), shots per game (3.38), goals (7) and goals per game (0.54)
She has also knocked in two game winning goals this season.
