Hancock Named WAC Player of the Week

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State soccer junior Callie Hancock has been taking advantage of her increased playing time this season. The 5-6 forward was named Western Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday, Oct. 24, after scoring three goals in two conference matches.
In fact, this is Hancock's first career WAC honor. She has scored seven of the Bulldogs last eight goals, including a hat trick against CSU Bakersfield on Oct. 2.
She finished this past weekend with a .714 shot-on-goal percentage, having played a full 200 minutes.
Her insurance goal in the 'Dogs 2-0 win over Louisiana Tech (Oct. 21) happened in the final minute of play.
Hancock's two goals against New Mexico State (Oct. 23) secured the team's tie and record setting home season.
She now has a career-high 11 goals this season and leads the WAC in points (25), points per game (1.47), goals (11) and goals per game (0.65).
