Harmon's Goal Lifts No. 15 ODU Over GSU
HARMON’S FIRST HALF GOAL LEADS NO. 15 ODU OVER PANTHERS, 1-0
ATLANTA, GA.—ODU Senior co-captain Chris Harmon ‘s(Downingtown, PA. ) first half goal lifted the 15th ranked Monarchs (10-2-2) to a 1-0 Colonial Athletic Association victory over Georgia State Wednesday evening at the GSU Soccer Complex.
“Great road win for the Monarchs. We managed the game very well and found a way to get the result.” -ODU head coach Alan Dawson who won his 310th career collegiate game tonight.
Harmon’s goal came after receiving a pass from junior Gideon Asante (Sunyani, Ghana), where he then blasted it from 24 yards out for the score. The goal is Harmon’s ninth of the season, second on the team while it was Asante’s fourth assist of the season.

Francoz (Fleurieu Sur Saone, France) came up with four saves for his fifth full shutout of the season
Dropping his goals against average to 0.97. GSU’s Vincent Foemer had eight saves.
The Soccer Monarchs rank 15th nationally by the NSCAA/Coaches and Soccer Times. The Monarchs travel to Hempstead, NY for a Saturday evening match at Hofstra before returning home on Oct. 31st against Northeastern.
