WORCESTER, Mass. Senior captain Jordan Michael (Burnaby, British Columbia) boosted the Holy Cross men’s soccer team to 1-0 victory over American with a game-winning assist to sophomore Tommy Uttaro (Staten Island, N.Y.) in the final game of the 2011 season at the Linda Johnson Smith Soccer Stadium. Sophomore Joshua Cintas (San Diego, Calif.) put three shots on-goal, including a shot that was just tipped out of the net by American goalkeeper Matt Makowski. American quickly put two shots on-goal in the first five minutes of the second half as freshman netminder Michael Thompson (Cromwell, Conn.) collected his first save in the game. Uttaro then made his first shot of the game count at 60:03, scoring on a diving header inside the box.
