HCAC releases men’s soccer coaches poll

<p>Coming off a 6-11-1 overall and 4-5 league finish a year ago, Manchester University&rsquo;s 2012 men&rsquo;s soccer squad was tabbed seventh on the annual Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference coaches&rsquo; preseason poll, released August 9.</p> <p class="style31">Coach Dave Good&rsquo;s Spartans received 48 points which left them just three shy of the top five. Defending conference champion Transylvania was voted the HCAC favorite, earning 95 points and five first-place votes, while Rose-Hulman was close behind with 93 points and four first-place votes.</p> <p class="style31">MU opens the season Saturday, Sept. 1, when Moody Bible <a title="Powered by Text-Enhance" href="http://www.manchester.edu/Athletics/ManchesterUniversityAthletics-Menssoccerpreseasonpoll.htm">College</a> visits Spartan Soccer Field for a 1 p.m. start.
