Lady Hornets welcome a total of seven new faces to the team

MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State head coach Jodie Smith announced the addition of three student-athletes who will be joining the Lady Hornets soccer program for the 2019 season.
 
Alabama State welcomed four new players on National Signing Day, and the list continues as Smith brings in two transfers and one international player to add maturity to a young Lady Hornet team.
 
"I am really excited about the newest additions to our team," Smith said. "They each bring a high level of experience that will serve to improve the program."

The list includes the following:
 
Sophie Bui, Forward
Erindale College HS (Canberra, Australia)

 
Awarded the Football Commitment as well as the Football Excellence Award while serving as Team Captain at Erindale College High School. She also helped lead the team to the New South Wales Futsal Championship. She played for the Tuggeranong United of the WNPL, earning the WNPL U17 Golden Boot award as the leading scorer along the way to being named the Player of the Year.
 
Kierra Dahlgren, Goalkeeper
Parkland JC (Wheatfield, Ill.)
 
Was an All-Conference selection in high school, before playing at Parkland Junior College for head coach Tim Notz. She started 22 games for the Cobras, and as a sophomore finished with four shutouts while making 103 saves for the season highlighted by an 18-save performance in one game.
 
McKenna Wiscombe, Forward
Utah State University-Eastern (Orem, Utah)
 
Was a three-time Team Most Valuable Player at Mountain View High School, and was named to the All-Region Team as well as the Region MVP her senior year. She was a two-year starter and Team Captain at USU-E for head coach Ammon Bennett, scoring 10 goals and dishing out 10 assists on the way to being named an All-Scenic West Athletic Conference Selection.
