Bloomington, IN - The tenth-ranked Indiana Hoosiers (6-2-2) dropped their second consecutive decision on Wednesday night as Louisville (7-3-0) scored three unanswered goals for the 3-2 overtime victory. Eriq Zavaleta and Alec Purdie contributed the goals for the Hoosiers, while Kenney Walker (2) and Colin Rolfe scored for the visitors.

 Indiana got off to a strong start as Purdie floated a ball across the goal line in the tenth minute, only to see his cross unanswered.

 The Hoosiers would open the scoring only a minute later, Eriq Zavaleta controlling Tommy Meyer’s cross with his chest inside the area and slotting home under the onrushing Louisville goalkeeper Andre Boudreaux to make it 1-0.

 Purdie nearly doubled the lead in the 30^th minute after drawing a foul along the right sideline. Harrison Petts whipped in the free kick from 25 yards and Purdie met it squarely, heading it off the far post past a diving Boudreaux, only to see the rebound trickle back out before Louisville wound up clearing.

 The away side maintained possession well in the opening period but was unable to make anything of it in the final third, as strong defensive efforts from Meyer and fellow center back Caleb Konstanski prevented Louisville from putting a shot on target.

 Indiana looked to be cruising in the 55^th minute as Purdie gave the home side a 2-0 lead. Petts drove in a corner kick right to Jacob Bushue, who headed it goalward where Purdie was waiting to volley past Boudreaux from three yards.

 Louisville cut the deficit in half with 18 minutes remaining on a corner kick of their own, Colin Rolfe capitalizing on a loose ball in the box and finding the back of the net.

 The game was tied barely a minute later when Kenney Walker pounced inside the area, stunning the Hoosiers to make it two goals apiece.

 A goalless quarter of an hour brought the game to overtime, and Indiana’s Luis Soffner was put to work within 30 seconds, diving to his right to keep out a shot from Walker.

 Louisville maintained its momentum and grabbed the game winner in the 95^th minute as Walker notched his second of the night, rolling the ball into the bottom left corner with a sliding shot from 16 yards to complete the comeback.

 Indiana will host No. 5 Creighton on Sunday, October 9, at 1:30 p.m.
