Is the '16 men's tourney the craziest ever?
Did we just witness the wildest first two rounds in men’s NCAA tourney history?
That conclusion isn’t all that off base. The No. 1 seed is gone in perhaps the most improbable comeback in tourney history. Nearly half of the tourney’s second round featured five total goals, a mad stat given the amount of buttoned-up defending teams tend to do at this time of year. And through it all we’re no closer to handicapping a champion.
The third round kicks off all over the country this weekend, with 16 teams becoming eight by the end of Sunday. We’ve already learned a ton from this tournament, but here’s three things in particular you need to know about what we’ve seen so far.
The 2016 College Cup, whoever participates, is destined to be a madhouse.
