Quotes from head coach Jodie Smith
"I am really excited about our schedule this fall. We will play teams from six different conferences prior to starting SWAC play. This will allow us to see a lot of different styles of play and help us when we enter conference play."
Alabama State soccer won back-to-back SWAC championships in 2016 and 2017, their first in school history. The Lady Hornets appeared in four of five championship games prior to the 2018 season, while head coach Jodie Smith picked up career win 175 during the 2018 season at Alabama State.
Alabama State will hold their annual Midnight Madness practice to kick things off for the 2019 season. The annual event takes place August 6 (Tuesday) at 12:01 am.
