Lions Fall 3-2 in Home Opener
ALTOONA, Pa. - The Penn State Altoona men's soccer team was bested 3-2 by Baptist Bible College on Tuesday night in the Lions' first home game of the 2011 season at Spring Run Stadium.
Baptist Bible's Benjamin Clark opened the scoring at 14:32 when he made a penalty kick.
Penn State Altoona struck back at 25:50 on Brandon Arvey's (Harrisburg, PA/Red Land) score.
The Defenders reclaimed the lead seven minutes later when Peter Paye scored to make it 2-1.
But the Lions tied the game just five minutes later on Arvey's second goal of the evening.
But Baptist Bible had the last word on the scoresheet when Clark found the back of the net at 60:28 to make it 3-2.
The game featured many whistles, with a total of 28 fouls being called.
Penn State Altoona held a 16-7 advantage in shots.
