Men's 3 Things: Lipscomb, Syracuse, GKs
It’s difficult to decide which of Malachi Jones’ two goals for Lipscomb on October 4 was more impressive. The first was certainly more technical, the winger cutting back on to his right foot before squeezing a shot in at the near post. But the second was more eye-catching, with Jones striding past a defender, rounding the goalkeeper and finding the back of the net. It’s perhaps more important, then, to appreciate how different the two goals were. After all, they combined to seal the Bisons’ ninth win of the season, the oft-overlooked side surging in the ASUN.
But Jones’ brace wasn’t the only storyline this week. There was continued success in Syrcause(m) and a remarkable performance for St. Thomas (Minn.) — with a litany of other big moments sprinkled in. Here’s a condensed version of the week, with three things to know.
