Week in Consideration: September 4-September 10

D2 Men’s Player of the Week: Gabriel Dias Juliani, Newman

The Player of the Week comes from Kansas in Juliani, a senior whose hat trick led to a 3-2 victory over Oklahoma Christian. The towering forward then followed that with an assist to defeat William Jewell 4-1, helping the Jets to a perfect week.

D2 Men’s Team of the Week: Tampa

Tampa received high honors for a week where the Spartans defeated the No. 13 and No. 21 ranked teams in back-to-back games, scoring five and conceding two. It is an ideal start for a team that went 1-2 against ranked opposition last season.

D3 Men’s Player of the Week: Diego Rivera, Buffalo State

As a team captain, Rivera was outstanding for the Bengals, scoring and assisting plenty to lead a 3-0 week. The run began with a brace to defeat Bryant & Stratton 2-0, continued with three assists in a 4-0 victory over Alfred, and culminated with a jaw-dropping four-goal performance in a 6-2 rout of SUNY Brockport.

D3 Men’s Team of the Week: Denison

Demonstrating perfection throughout the week, the Big Red defeated Franklin and Marshall College and No. 18-ranked Johns Hopkins with identical 4-0 scorelines. This strong start continues as Denison has scored ten and has yet to concede through four matches.

NAIA Men’s Player of the Week: Maddux Camden, Alice Lloyd

When the team needed it most, Camden delivered, scoring twice in both games to lead a 3-3 draw with Ohio Christian and a thrilling 4-3 victory over Kentucky Christian.

NAIA Men’s Team of the Week: Madonna

Madonna had a highly impressive week in the NAIA scene. Following a routine 1-0 defeat of Huntington University, the Crusaders hit the road and accomplished a 3-2 win at No. 6 Indiana Wesleyan, scoring all three comeback goals in the final eleven minutes.
