LAKEPOINT, GA— NJIT senior Mamadou Guirassy and sophomore Victor Pujades swept this week's ASUN Conference Men's Soccer weekly honors, the league office announced on Tuesday.

Guirassy, ASUN Player of the Week, scored five goals, including two game-winners to keep NJIT undefeated while Pujades, ASUN Defensive Player of the Week, recorded two shutouts as the Highlanders went 2-0-1 last week.

The Highlanders remain the lone team in the ASUN, undefeated in 2017, standing at 3-0-1 overall.

Guirassy, who ranks tied for first among the NCAA (as of September 4) in total goals (5), earns his first career ASUN Player of the Week award, scoring all five of the team's goals.

The senior opened the week with a game-winning goal against Navy and followed up by scoring a pair of goals in each of the next two matches.

The forward from Paris, France, scored twice against FIU in a 2-2 draw, and added a pair of goals in a 2-0 road win at Florida Atlantic, tying the NJIT Division I career scoring mark with (15).

He leads the ASUN in goals (5) and points (10) and has notched a goal in three-out-of-four games this season for NJIT.

The Highlanders starting keeper Pujades collected his second career ASUN Defensive Player of the Week award after recording two shutouts and keeping the Highlanders the only undefeated team in the ASUN.

The sophomore from La Vall d'Uixó, Castellon, Spain made a game-saving stop against Navy in the final minutes of a 1-0 shutout win.

He combined for five saves against FIU, before recording his second shutout of the week, third of the year, which ranks third among the NCAA (as of September 4) in a 2-0 win at FAU to close out the week.  He combined for 11 saves and posted a 0.67 GAA in 270 minutes of action.
