NO. 21 FLYERS FALL 1-0 AT RICHMOND
RICHMOND, Va. – No. 21 Dayton women’s soccer dropped a 1-0 decision to Richmond Sunday at Robins Stadium in Atlantic 10 action.
The Flyers fall to 12-3-0 overall and 3-2-0 in the A-10 standings, while Richmond improves to 10-4-3 overall and 4-1-1 in the conference.
UD had 19 shots to the Spiders’ 12, but Becca Wann put away a goal in the 60th minute to give Richmond all it would need. It marked Wann’s 14th goal of the season, which leads the Atlantic 10. The shutout was the seventh of the season for Richmond goalkeeper Melissa Pacheco.
Junior goalkeeper Katherine Boone had seven saves for the Flyers.
Dayton hosts Saint Joseph’s next Friday, Oct. 21 at 7:30 p.m. and Temple on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 1 p.m. at Baujan Field. 250 Exclusive Dayton Flyer Soccer scarves will be raffled out pregame and at halftime of the Saint Joseph’s game. Admission is free to all UD regular season soccer matches at Baujan Field.
