After completing his final year of eligibility and graduating from Notre Dame in December, goalkeeper Duncan Turnbull signed a pro contract with Portsmouth this week.

The Illinois native started 26 matches across his four-year career with the Irish, including 16 as a senior. The 6-foot-7 goalkeeper made 49 saves in the 2019 season.

“It’s fantastic to be at such a big club with so much history. I can’t wait to see what happens," Turnbull said in a press release.

Turnbull initially arrived at Portsmouth to train for a couple of days, but ended up staying for five weeks before signing his contract.
