Older Domestic Prospects to Watch in 2023
The new Major League Soccer season begins this weekend.
Slated to kick off earlier than previous years, the Leagues Cup break in the middle of the season is a big part of that decision-making process.
While obviously the league remains primarily reliant on international additions to see a significant chunk of minutes, young players are continuing to make strides. Both from a perspective of young contributors emerging and prospects moving abroad to European club, there’s little doubt the league has made strides.
This week’s Top 50 MLS Prospect countdown centers on players born in 2003 or earlier. However, there are still domestic players that are past that age cutoff that can still make a statement. Check out some of the older prospects to watch in 2023.
