BUFFALO, NY—Oneonta (10-3-4/6-0-2) scored a pair of first half goals and defeated Buffalo State (7-8-1/3-5), 2-0, in a SUNYAC game this afternoon at Coyer Field.
Oneonta took an early lead, scoring just over three minutes into the game, on a second effort off a corner kick and tallied another in the 22nd minute with a shot from close range to the near corner.
The Red Dragons controlled play, as they outshot the Bengals, 15-8, and held a 10-2 advantage in corner kicks. Robby Kuhnle (Pleasant Valley/Arlington) played the final 45 minutes and had two saves, while Ian Huntoon (Stamford, CT/West Hill) stopped four shots in the first half.
Buffalo State will close out its SUNYAC regular season slate against New Paltz tomorrow at 1 p.m.
