Patriots fall at Anderson 3-0

ANDERSON, SC - Lasse Sohrweide scored the only goal Anderson University would need in the first half and then assisted on a pair of insurance scores to lead the Trojans to a 3-0 victory over Francis Marion University, Tuesday evening (Sept. 20) in non-conference men's soccer action.

Francis Marion drops to 1-6-0, while Anderson improves to 4-2-0.  The Patriots will play at 15th-ranked Clayton State University on Saturday at 6 p.m. in a Peach Belt Conference match.

Sohrweide scored an unassisted goal at 29:03 when his shot from 10 yards out deflected off FMU freshman goalkeeper Nick Lucido.  Sohrweide then assisted on tallies by James Moseley in the 36th minute and Tapiwa Munetsi in the 81st minute.

Anderson outshot FMU 17-4, although the Patriots held a 4-3 advantage in corner kicks.  Freshman Igor Souza recorded FMU's lone shot on goal in the 64th minute.

Lucido finished with three saves, while Anderson keeper Lukas Hesse registered one save.
