Redshirt senior Daisy Vazquez (Redwood City, Calif., Woodside, Calif.) scored her first career goal in the 23rd minute when she bent a corner kick in.

A Peña blast from 25 yards out a little over nine minutes later created a four-goal advantage for CSU Bakersfield. Anisa Patterson got UTSA on the board with her first goal of the season at 33:14.

Peña's second assist of the night came on an Erica Shelton (Jr., Bakersfield, Calif., UC Santa Barbara) goal four minutes into the second half. Liv Nyhegn's header in the 55nd minute made it 5-2 with Kirby Wright getting UTSA to within two with a header off a free kick in the 79th minute.
