Pujades Earns ASUN Defensive Player of Week

LAKE POINT, GA – NJIT men's soccer Victor Pujades becomes the first Highlander to receive ASUN Defensive Player of the Week, announced by Director of Media Operations Johannes Schneider on Monday.
After posting back-to-back shutouts last week, Pujades ranks tied for first in the NJIT Division I era with six shutouts. His six shutouts also ranks first in the ASUN.
The freshman recorded two saves in the Highlanders overtime draw at Lafayette on October 12 and collected another four saves at USC Upstate on Saturday in NJIT's 1-0 win over the Spartans.
Pujades holds a 0.93 goals against average and is one of only two goalkeepers in the ASUN under a 1.00.
So far in 2016, Pujades has accumulated 37 saves and holds a .755 saves percentage.
