EDISON, N.J. – Freshman goalkeeper Mark Rajovic was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Wilson Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday. The award recognizes Rajovic’s efforts in goal for Marist as they went 1-0-1 without allowing a goal in last week’s matches. In addition, Rajovic was also named as the ECAC Co-Rookie Of The Week on Tuesday.
In the Red Foxes first game of the week Rajovic totaled six saves and the shutout in a 2-0 win against Manhattan. Marist continued with a strong defensive effort against Fairfield over the weekend as Rajovic tallied two saves and another shutout in a double overtime 0-0 draw.
