Below are some of the notable moves you may have missed in men’s and women’s DI soccer:
JMU welcomes No. 20 ranked class
After emerging as one of the powers in the Colonial Athletic Association over the past few seasons, James Madison added 13 players that look capable of keeping themselves at the top.
The graduation of Manuel Ferriol leaves them with an attacking talisman to replace centrally. While in-house additions are sure to be in the mix, some of the newcomers should inject final-third quality. That includes the transfer addition of Luca Erhardt from Monroe Junior College. Erhardt led Junior College with 31 goals in the 2019 season, leading his side to the NJCAA national championship. A former German youth international that played for Borussia Dortmund youth setup, his pedigree should make him an impact player in the conference.
