Siena's Tremblay Named Scholar All-Region

LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Women’s Soccer senior captain Michele Tremblay has earned United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-East Region Second Team honors for the second consecutive season. The Goffstown, New Hampshire product joins program legend Tabitha Tice ’11 as the only student athletes in Siena Women’s Soccer history to be lauded with Scholar All-Region acclaim twice.

 

The Saints’ midfielder recently wrapped up one of the most decorated combined academic and athletic careers in program history. Earlier this fall, Tremblay became just the second student athlete in Siena Women’s Soccer history to be named a Senior CLASS Award candidate. She was selected as Siena College’s Leo Dufort Female Student Athlete of the Month for September, and the MAAC’s Female Student Athlete of the Week on Sept. 25.

 

Tremblay maintains a stellar 3.81 cumulative grade-point average while majoring in psychology and minoring in health studies. Named to Siena Athletics’ “4.0 Club” after achieving a perfect GPA during the Spring 2016 semester, she was inducted into both the Pi Gamma Mu (Social Science) and Psi Chi (Psychology) International Honor Societies last spring. Tremblay was tabbed a CoSIDA Academic All-District I First Team selection following her junior season, and has been named a MAAC All-Academic Team honoree in each year of eligibility.  

 

On the field, Tremblay was named a First Team All-MAAC selection each of the past two seasons. This fall, she both appeared in and started all 19 matches, and tied for the MAAC lead with nine assists while tallying 13 points overall. She graduates ranking third all-time in program history in assists (19), matches played (78), and matches started (73).
