St. Cloud State Falls at Upper Iowa, 3-0
The St. Cloud State University soccer team completed its weekend of NSIC games with a 3-0 setback at Upper Iowa University in Fayette, Iowa on Sunday, Sept. 28. The loss drops SCSU's record to 3-5, 2-3 NSIC in 2014.
UIU's Madie Edwards charted the game winner at 24:42, while Aimee Wronski added a goal at 44:26 to make it 2-0 heading into the second half. UIU iced the game with a goal by Corinne Wronski at 65:32 of the contest.
Brittany Plombon was the goalie of record for the Huskies with six saves in the game, while Calla Petrie and Kaitlyn Emanuel combined for the shutout for the Peacocks with seven saves in the game. Taige Thoreson led SCSU with five shots in the game.
The Huskies will return to Husky Stadium for a home match at 1 p.m. against Southwest Minnesota State on Oct. 4. SCSU will complete the weekend with a 1 p.m. game on Oct. 5 against Sioux Falls.
