St. Cloud State soccer drops 3-0 decision

The St. Cloud State University soccer team suffered a 3-0 loss to non-conference rival the Michigan Tech Univeristy Huskies on Sunday, Sept. 6 at Husky Stadium.
Michigan Tech took an early lead after a corner kick by Lexi Herrewig slipped past SCSU goalkeeper. Tech's, Jacqueline Mielke, extended the lead when she took one off the head and sent it past St. Cloud's Brittany Plombon. One goal followed in the second period to end the game with a 3-0 loss for the St. Cloud State Huskies.
St. Cloud was outshot 21-11 in the contest, with goalkeeper Brittany Plombon recording 11 total saves.
The Huskies return to Husky Stadium on September 9 for a conference game against Minnesota Duluth. Kick off is at 11:00 am.
